Our biltong is made in store using the best quality cuts of silverside beef from the Southern Hemisphere.
Toby, our meat maestro, carefully trims the silverside beef, removing any silver skin and other tough inedible membrane of connective tissue. The meat is then seasoned with biltong spice, mixed with vinegar before its hanged to dry in our biltong dryer.
How is our biltong shipped?
We send all online orders out sliced in paper bags which is sealed in plastic bags and then it’s sent with DPD.
How to store biltong
We recommend to consume your biltong within 48 hours of opening the bag for best quality.
Please do not store your biltong in the fridge or in plastic containers as this’ll result in your biltong ‘sweating’ which will create mould.
Store your biltong in a dry, cool place out of any direct sunlight in its paper bag (in the cupboard will be absolutely fine), this will allow the biltong to ‘breathe’.
Each online order is packaged in a paper bag inside a sealed plastic bag.
All of our biltong online is sold medium moistness.
If you have a special request for your biltong (thick slices, more dry or more wet) then message our team after you’ve placed the order and we will ensure your request is met.
